Chairman of Arctic Green Energy meets Ségolène Royal

Haukur Hardarson, Chairman and Founder of Arctic Green Energy, was invited to attend meetings with the French Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, Ségolène Royal, on 28 July 2015. Ms. Royal has been visiting Iceland in an official capacity at the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland and the Minister for Industry. Ms. Roay also met with H.E. President Olafur R. Grimsson during her visit as well Dr. Gudni Johannesson, Director General of the National Energy Authority of Iceland, Olafur Flovenz, CEO of Iceland Geosurvey and other key players from the Icelandic geothermal industry.

During the meetings, Ms. Royal was presented with an overview of Arctic Green Energy’s operations in Asia with a special focus on the successful cooperation project with Sinopec in China. Ms. Royal reiterated the importance of a closer cooperation between Iceland and France in the field of geothermal and other renewable energy utilization during her visit and expressed the wish of presenting concrete intentions in this regard during the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference that will be held in Paris this December.
