The chairman of Arctic Green Energy (AGEC), Haukur Hardarson and the CEO of the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL, www.se4all.org), Ms. Rachel Kyte,  recently signed a Proud Partner partnership agreement for the purpose of accelerating achievement of Sustainable Energy for All Objectives and those of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7).

SEforALL is an organization with global reach and convening power and a focus across all three action areas — energy access, energy efficiency and renewable energy. SEforALL will strategically focus its resources where they can have the most impact in influencing leaders to act sooner and with greater ambition. SDG 7 is one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals agreed by the world‘s leaders in September 2015. SDG7 calls for us to secure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030.

The agreement covers specifically active participation by AGEC to support SEforALL in its efforts to promote energy efficiency targets and increasing the rate of renewables in the global energy mix. The parties will work together and put focus on what works and furthermore SeforAll will share its extensive global network and give a valuable strategic insight for this cooperation.

AGEC and SEforALL enter into this agreement to collaborate on sharing best practices in field of geothermal as a source to heat buildings through technology transfer and management and facilitate knowledge in energy waste heat utilization.

„We look forward to the cooperation with SEforALL because we believe this partnership not only signifies a great validation of the work of Artic Green Energy and Sinopec Green Energy in China but is also a great recognition of geothermal energy as a very valuable solution in the fight against air pollution and greenhouse emissions. said Haukur Hardarson, founder and Chairman of AGEC after signing the agreement with SEforALL.
