Vietnam wishes to collaborate with Iceland in developing clean energies and receive technical support and experience sharing from the country within the renewable energy industry, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai said during a clean energy conference in Hanoi on November 5th. The conference was held as part of an official visit by H.E. President Olafur R. Grimsson of Iceland to Vietnam.

During the occasion, Arctic Green Energy and Long Thanh Golf Investment Corporation, one of Vietnam’s leading investment companies signed a Framework Agreement for cooperation on geothermal in Vietnam. Haukur Hardarson, Chairman and Founder of Arctic Green Energy and Mr. Long Thanh jointly own Vietnam Green Energy & Technology which is a green energy company whose geographical focus is Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Vietnam Green Energy & Technology focuses on geothermal development and go-generation with waste heat, solar, wind and other renewables. The company is a clean tech solution provider to the Vietnamese and plans to have the first projects online by early 2016.
